My Clinical Profile in Laser Therapy

Hi, I’m Tracy Donegan.

I’m a midwife, researcher, and founder of multiple women’s health companies. Over the past several years, much of my research, continuing education, and clinical work has focused on red light therapy, specifically how photobiomodulation impacts fertility, pelvic health, postpartum recovery, hormone related concerns, chronic pain, and cognitive health.

At The Clinic, each red light therapy session is tailored to your specific condition, goals, and health history. Treatment is guided by published research and the Class 4 laser protocols I’ve developed through clinical work with the conditions I treat every day.

What I Treat at The Clinic

Clinical Red Light Therapy Using Class 4 Laser Technology

Most people who come to The Clinic are dealing with something specific. Trouble conceiving. Ongoing pelvic pain. A cesarean scar that still feels tight. A shoulder that never fully healed. Nerve pain that lingers. Postpartum recovery that feels slower than it should.

Fertility, pelvic health, and postpartum healing make up a large part of my work. That includes IVF preparation, diminished ovarian reserve, thin uterine lining, hormone related symptoms, abdominal separation, and perineal or cesarean scar recovery.

I also treat lichen sclerosus, chronic vulvar pain, concussion recovery, cognitive decline, frozen shoulder, sciatica, tendon injuries, and sports related strain. Many of the men I see are dealing with lifting injuries or jiujitsu related joint and soft tissue issues.

Treatments are comfortable, non-invasive, and performed in a private clinical setting.

Reproductive & Hormonal Health

Fertility, IVF Support, Pregnancy, Postpartum Recovery, and Menopause Care

Reproductive health is a central focus of my clinical work. I work with women trying to conceive, preparing for IVF, recovering after pregnancy loss, managing pelvic pain during pregnancy, rebuilding after birth, and navigating hormone shifts during perimenopause and menopause.

These concerns often intersect. Fertility challenges may sit alongside pelvic inflammation or scar tissue. Postpartum recovery can involve cesarean healing, abdominal separation, or persistent pelvic discomfort. Hormone shifts can affect joints, tissue integrity, sleep, and overall stability.

Fertility & Conception Support

Fertility challenges are rarely isolated to one variable. Ovarian response, uterine environment, inflammation, metabolic stress, and mitochondrial function all influence outcomes. Treatment is structured to support reproductive tissue health over time, often beginning several months before planned conception or assisted reproduction.

IVF & IUI Preparation

For patients preparing for IVF or IUI, I structure treatment around the stimulation phase, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer window. Red light therapy is applied to support ovarian response during stimulation, improve circulation to the uterus, and enhance endometrial receptivity before transfer.

In cases of recurrent implantation failure or thin uterine lining, Class 4 laser therapy is used to target the ovaries, uterus, and lower back to support tissue oxygenation and mitochondrial function during critical implantation timing. Treatment plans are aligned with the specific protocol your fertility clinic is using so that laser sessions complement, rather than compete with, your medical cycle.

Pregnancy Related Pelvic Pain

Pregnancy places significant mechanical and hormonal stress on the pelvis, sacroiliac joints, and lower back. As ligaments soften and the center of gravity shifts forward, many women develop pubic symphysis pain, sacroiliac instability, tailbone irritation, or persistent lumbar strain. These symptoms can interfere with sleep, walking, exercise, and daily movement.

Laser is applied directly to irritated joints and surrounding soft tissue to reduce inflammation and calm nerve sensitivity without manipulation or force. Treatment is adjusted for trimester and positioning, with sessions designed to improve mobility and decrease pain while supporting the structural demands of a growing pregnancy.

Postpartum recovery does not end at the six week visit. Cesarean scars can remain tight or sensitive, abdominal separation may affect core strength, and pelvic discomfort often lingers longer than expected. Many women also experience ongoing strain in the lower back, hips, and rib cage from feeding and carrying an infant.

Class 4 laser therapy is used to support tissue repair, improve circulation, and assist collagen remodeling in healing tissue. Treatment focuses on restoring mobility and structural integrity so recovery continues in a steady, supported way rather than plateauing after the early weeks.

Postpartum Healing

Menopause & Hormone Related Symptoms

Perimenopause and menopause often show up in the joints before they show up in lab work. Shoulders stiffen. Hips ache. Recovery slows. Vaginal tissue becomes thinner, more sensitive, less resilient. Sleep disruption compounds everything.

This phase is not simply about hot flashes. It is about connective tissue integrity, inflammatory load, and cellular energy production changing over time. In clinic, I focus on supporting tissue quality, circulation, and structural stability so women maintain strength, mobility, and comfort as hormone levels shift.

Male Fertility Support

Male factor fertility can respond well to targeted photobiomodulation when applied consistently and correctly. Because male reproductive tissue is external and easily accessible, in-clinic treatment is not necessary. Instead, men use the Solasta handheld laser at home as part of a structured protocol designed to support healthy sperm production, motility, and overall testicular function. This approach allows for privacy, consistency, and proper dosing over time. Clear guidance is provided to ensure safe application and appropriate wavelength exposure, making home-based therapy both practical and clinically aligned.
